IPAF, System-Card and Operator's License – Legal Requirements When Renting Aerial Work Platforms

Anyone renting an aerial work platform carries legal responsibility – not just for the machine, but for the person operating it. The operator's qualification is not a recommendation but a legal obligation. In Switzerland, the **VUV** forms the legal foundation: it stipulates that aerial work platforms may only be operated by people who have been explicitly assigned to the task, have received machine-specific instruction, and can provide evidence of theoretical and practical training. For companies, this means concretely: if any of this evidence is missing and an accident occurs, the employer is liable – both personally and under criminal law. With every handover of equipment, Luibl Rental ensures that these requirements are known and that the necessary documentation is in place.

At What Wind Speed Does Outdoor Use of Aerial Work Platforms Become a Risk?

A sudden gust of wind at a height of 25 metres can tip an aerial work platform even when the platform's rated load has not been exceeded at all. Wind load acts in addition to the weight of the operator, tools and material, and fundamentally changes the machine's stability behaviour. For site managers using scissor lifts, articulated telescopic platforms or truck-mounted platforms outdoors, the question of permissible wind speed is therefore not a minor detail but one of the central safety decisions to make before every outdoor deployment.

Risk Assessment under ArGV 3 for Height Access Equipment: The Guide for Site Managers

Before the first scissor lift or articulated boom lift arrives on a construction site, one document needs to exist that many contractors underestimate: the risk assessment. It is not a formality, but under Article 3 of the Ordinance 3 to the Labour Act (ArGV 3) the legal precondition for using a piece of work equipment such as an aerial work platform or telehandler at all. Anyone who carries it out incorrectly, or not at all, is personally liable in the event of an incident – regardless of whether the rented equipment itself was technically flawless. For site managers and safety officers, this raises a question with every enquiry to Luibl Rental that begins well before the choice of equipment: what hazards does the specific work site present, and what measures must be in place before the operator first steps onto the platform? This guide walks through the process step by step and shows how the assessment concretely shapes the choice of the right height access equipment.

Logistics Centres & High-Bay Warehouses: Which Aerial Work Platform for Maintenance?

A defective sprinkler pipe on the top shelving level, the annual stocktake at 12 metres, a light fitting positioned right above the narrowest aisle. Maintenance work in a high-bay warehouse always comes up against the same problem: the racking is tall, the aisles are narrow, and warehouse operations are meant to carry on as normally as possible in the meantime. Not every aerial work platform fits through these aisles – and not every one reaches high enough. This article sets out which platform suits which situation in a high-bay warehouse and what to consider when planning.

Driving a Wheel Loader: Technology, Operation & Licence Requirements

A wheel loader is a self-propelled construction machine with wheel drive and a front-mounted lifting attachment – usually fitted with a bucket. Unlike a tracked excavator, which digs, a wheel loader is primarily designed for scooping, transporting and loading: sand, gravel, crushed stone, construction debris, snow, biomass. The key design feature is the **articulated steering**: wheel loaders don't steer via the front axle but bend the entire frame in the middle. This allows a tight turning circle despite a wide track width – crucial on construction sites, in works yards and material storage areas. Anyone experiencing this for the first time has to rethink: reversing into a parking spot works differently here than in a car.

Renting a Mini Excavator: What You Should Know Before Hiring

For digging work in tight spaces, the mini excavator is the workhorse of choice. Whether it's a utility trench in the back garden, drainage on a company site, or an excavation for a foundation – this compact class handles jobs that would simply be too unwieldy for a large tracked excavator. If you only need this kind of work occasionally, renting is the better option compared to buying: no capital tied up, no maintenance responsibility, no need for a parking space. This guide covers what really matters when renting a mini excavator.

Aerial Work Platforms for Film, Event and Trade Fair Productions – What Organisers Need to Know

Rigging a concert stage at a height of 8 metres, setting up camera positions for a TV production, fitting out trade fair stands with ceiling lighting – behind almost every one of these builds is an aerial work platform. And that is exactly where problems tend to start: events run on tight time windows, cramped halls and zero tolerance for downtime. Anyone who orders the wrong machine or starts planning too late drags the whole build into delay. This article shows which aerial work platforms are suited to event productions, what matters when choosing one – and what a rental partner like Luibl needs to deliver so that setup and teardown genuinely run without a hitch.

Aerial Work Platforms for Church Renovation – Requirements, Equipment Types, and Practical Examples

Anyone planning to renovate a church soon realizes this is no ordinary construction project. Between listed façades, cramped churchyards, sensitive natural stone floors, and towers that easily reach 40 to 50 metres in height, requirements arise that ordinary construction sites simply don't have. Choosing the right aerial work platform for a church renovation often determines whether a project runs smoothly or whether damage occurs that ends up costing more than the renovation itself. In this article, we look at which types of equipment suit which areas of a church, what special requirements apply – and what to consider when planning your rental.

Renovating a Hall from the Inside: Which Aerial Work Platform Fits Ceiling Heights Under 6 Metres?

Anyone renovating an industrial hall from the inside often faces the same problem: the ceiling height is too low for large aerial work platforms, but too high for safe ladder work. Between 3 and 6 metres of clear height lies a zone where the wrong equipment choice costs valuable time – or, in the worst case, the platform simply doesn't fit through the door. This comparison shows which aerial work platform is right for which ceiling height.

Telehandlers in halls: choosing the right load capacity & clearance height

An industrial hall with 7.5 metres of ceiling height, 450 square metres of floor space and cramped storage aisles just 3.2 metres wide – and you regularly have to store components weighing 3.5 tonnes at a height of 5.2 metres. The standard counterbalance forklift does not fit spatially, a mobile crane is oversized and too expensive. This is where the telehandler comes into its own in hall operations. Telehandlers (also called telescopic loaders) are often the solution for hall assignments when two conditions have to be met: **maximum vertical lifting force with minimum space requirement**. In contrast to classic forklifts or scissor lifts, telehandlers combine the lifting capacity of a crane with the manoeuvrability of a forklift. But not every model fits in every hall – and not every telehandler reaches the load capacity you need. Luibl Rental offers a specialised portfolio of telehandlers of the most varied load classes and construction types. Whether rigid models for precise lifting and transport tasks or slewing Roto telehandlers for installation work in industrial halls – we show you what matters.

Rent Special Aerial Platforms for Tree Care & Pruning

Tree care is technically demanding and time-limited. The dormant season between October and February allows for radical pruning; from March to September, Section 39 of the German Federal Nature Conservation Act (BNatSchG) applies and restricts drastic measures. Aerial work platforms are not a luxury here – they are the safe, efficient solution for pruning, crown shaping, and deadwood removal at height. Luibl rents specialised aerial access equipment across Europe: tracked aerial platforms for narrow private gardens, truck-mounted platforms for municipal and professional large-scale tree care projects, and trailer-mounted solutions for flexible relocation between sites. Every machine is provided with VUV certification and technical instruction.

Inspection According to VUV and Maintenance Records: Why Quality Saves Time at Luibl Rental

Anyone renting construction equipment is, at its core, buying one thing: operational safety. A machine that sits on the job site unable to work generates costs that far exceed the rental price many times over. Inspection according to VUV is more than a bureaucratic formality – it is documented proof that a machine is technically sound before the first operator ever climbs aboard. For Luibl Rental, seamless inspection and maintenance documentation is not a value-added service but a basic prerequisite for every equipment handover. What this means in concrete terms – for the legal certainty of the renting company and for project logistics on site – is explained in this article.

The New SN EN 280: Relevant Changes for Operators of Aerial Work Platforms

SN EN 280 is the European design and safety standard for mobile elevating work platforms. Anyone operating aerial work platforms – whether owned or rented – is holding a document that has a direct impact on operator obligations, the risk assessment and the permitted use of equipment. In 2022, the previous single standard was split into two separate parts: **SN EN 280-1:2022** covers calculation, stability, construction, safety and inspections. **SN EN 280-2:2022** addresses additional safety requirements for load-lifting attachments on aerial work platforms. In addition, the draft standard **prEN 280-1:2024** has been available since November 2024, bringing further clarifications – not yet ratified, but already indicating the direction manufacturers and inspection bodies are heading. This article explains which changes are relevant for day-to-day operation and what operators need to consider when selecting and using rental equipment from Luibl Rental.

Realising Glass Construction Projects Efficiently: Mini Cranes and Vacuum Lifters at Luibl Rental

Glass facades, steel-and-glass structures and laminated panes for atriums, office towers and industrial halls today rarely fall below the 500-kilogram mark. Triple glazing in an aluminium frame for a standard-size office building quickly reaches 380 to 600 kg per element, and special panes for lobbies and showrooms regularly exceed 800 kg. Anyone who has to bring loads like this to a fifth-floor installation point through a stairwell or across an inner courtyard will find a mobile crane defeated by the lack of set-up space, an aerial platform defeated by its load capacity, and manual labour defeated by the VUV. The answer lies in combining a **mini crane** and a **vacuum lifter** – two machines that each have their own speciality on their own, but together become the only economical solution once the site is tight, the ground is sensitive and the load is demanding. Luibl Rental keeps a coordinated rental offering ready for exactly this application profile. The mini crane fleet is built on the **Maeda range**, with models from the 600 mm-narrow [MC104C](https://www.luibl.ch/mieten/krane/minikran/maeda-mc104c-mik-104/) to the heavy-duty [MC815C](https://www.luibl.ch/mieten/krane/minikran/maeda-mc815c-mik-815/) with over 8 tonnes of load capacity. The matching **vacuum technology** is supplied by Luibl Group's sister brand **Uplifter** – glass lifters with 1- and 2-circuit systems up to 1,200 kg capacity that attach seamlessly to the load hook of every Maeda crane. This pillar page provides the in-depth view: which technological synergy between crane and lifter decides project success? What load capacity reserves are actually usable at which reach? And what does practice look like with an 800 kg facade element in an inner-city setting?

Renting a heavy-duty forklift: the practical guide for loads from 8 to 18 tonnes

Anyone who has to set down a 12-tonne machine transformer onto foundation bolts with millimetre precision has a problem that no standard counterbalance forklift solves. At 5 tonnes it is the end for classic industrial forklifts – above that begins a class of its own with its own physics, its own logistics and its own risks. This guide is aimed at logistics and production planners who need to know **which technical parameters really matter** before the machine stands on the construction site. The most common planning error is not the load capacity that is too small, but the wrongly estimated load centre distance. What looks like 18 tonnes on the data sheet is, in practice, often only 12. At Luibl Rental you rent [heavy-duty forklifts](/en/miete/gabelstapler/schwerlaststapler/) from **Kalmar, Hyundai and EP** with load capacities from 8 to 18 tonnes, in diesel and electric versions, with delivery throughout Europe via the own low-loader fleet from over [200 locations](/en/standorte/).

Truck-Mounted Platform or Trailer Lift Rental: Which One Fits Your Job?

Anyone looking to rent an aerial work platform usually thinks first about working height and price. But there's a question that matters just as much: how does the machine get to the job site – and how quickly is it ready to work once it's there? Truck-mounted platforms and trailer lifts solve the same basic problem in two fundamentally different ways. Which option is the better choice for your specific case depends on factors that are often overlooked in the consultation stage. This article explains both machine types in clear technical terms, highlights their real strengths – and shows when each solution makes sense.

Scaffolding – When Scaffolding Pays Off and When an Aerial Work Platform Is the Better Choice

Scaffolding accompanies every larger construction project – from facade renovation to new builds and industrial installation. Yet the stationary facade scaffold has long since stopped being the only option for safe working at height. Over the past two decades, aerial work platforms, telescopic and scissor lifts have developed into a genuine alternative: faster to deploy, more economical for short assignments, and safer for point-specific work above obstacles. This guide explains the systematics of modern scaffolding, shows which jobs still belong to classic scaffolding – and where an aerial work platform is technically and economically superior. Luibl Rental & Sales specialises in access equipment and supplies aerial work platforms Europe-wide from a network of over 200 locations, replacing or usefully complementing scaffolding in many applications.

Industrial Trucks: Technology, Application & Selection

Industrial truck (Flurförderzeug) is the standardised term under ISO 5053 for ground-based, non-rail-guided material handling equipment. This category covers forklifts of all types, pallet stackers, reach trucks, tow tractors, rough-terrain forklifts and telehandlers. In everyday language, "industrial truck" and "forklift" are often used interchangeably – technically, the forklift is a subgroup. This guide explains the individual equipment types, the legal framework under VUV, and the selection criteria that really make a difference in practice. It is aimed at dispatchers, site managers and buyers preparing a procurement or rental decision.

Rigid vs. Rotating: Which Telehandler Is Right for Your Project?

Choosing the right telehandler is one of the most critical decisions in construction planning. It affects not only daily rental costs, but also the pace of on-site progress, the space required on the job site, and the safety of your team. Planners often face the question: is a [rigid telehandler](https://www.luibl.ch/mieten/teleskoplader-starr/) enough, or does the enormous flexibility of a rotating model ([Roto](https://www.luibl.ch/mieten/teleskoplader-roto/)) justify the investment? As a specialist in aerial access technology, Luibl Rental offers not only a modern fleet, but also the expertise to clear up this fundamental rental uncertainty. In this guide, we compare the statics, dynamics, and cost-efficiency of both systems in detail. ## The Rigid Telehandler: The Powerhouse for Horizontal Work A rigid telehandler (often simply called a "telehandler") is designed for maximum robustness and simple, powerful lifting operations. Since the upper carriage is fixed to the chassis, load distribution is straightforward. ### Structural Advantages and Statics On a rigid model, the load is primarily carried to the front. This allows for a design built to withstand extreme pressure loads. - Pick-and-carry capability: Rigid telehandlers are ideally suited for picking up loads on the forks and moving them across the site. - Lower centre of gravity: Without a slewing ring, the centre of gravity sits lower, increasing stability on uneven terrain. - Simplicity of operation: Less complex control systems mean a shorter training period for personnel. ### When you should rent a rigid telehandler from Luibl Rental: - Material handling: Unloading trucks and transporting pallets over long distances on the job site. - Earthworks & agriculture: Used with a bucket for bulk material or earthmoving work. - Budget focus: For projects where pure lifting power is required and there is enough space to manoeuvre, the rigid telehandler is the most cost-efficient solution. ## The Rotating Telehandler: Maximum Efficiency Through 360° Technology The rotating telehandler, or "Roto" for short, is the technological evolution of the telehandler. Brands such as Magni, Manitou, and Merlo have developed machines that combine the functions of a forklift, a mobile crane, and an [aerial work platform](https://www.luibl.ch/miete/arbeitsbuehnen/) in a single machine. The game changer: the endless slewing angle A Roto from Luibl Rental features an upper carriage that can rotate 360 degrees (often continuously). This fundamentally changes the way the machine works: - Stationary operation: The operator positions the machine once, centrally, and can reach every point within the working radius without having to move the chassis. - Precision at height: Thanks to the rotation, loads can be swung into place at facades or building openings with centimetre precision. - Space savings: Especially on inner-city job sites, where every square metre counts, the Roto is unbeatable, since no manoeuvring space is required. Magni technology: setting the benchmark in the Roto class Luibl Rental increasingly relies on models from Magni. These machines stand out with an exceptional lifting height (up to 51 metres) and a fully digital load management system. Automatic [attachment](https://www.luibl.ch/mieten/teleskoplader/anbaugeraete/) recognition ensures the machine instantly knows which load chart (forks, winch, or basket) to apply. ## Key Technical Differences To make the right choice, we need to take a closer look at the technical features that often determine a project's success. ### Stabiliser Systems: Scissor vs. Fold-Down A key difference lies in stabilisation: 1. Rigid loader: Often features front stabilisers or relies purely on the axle lock. This limits the working area to the front of the machine. 2. Roto: Uses complex stabiliser systems. Here, a distinction is made between fold-down stabilisers (quick to deploy) and scissor stabilisers (variable extension). Modern Roto units calculate the load capacity individually for each stabiliser position — ideal when space is tight. ### Load Charts and Reach While rigid models excel in the range up to 18 metres of lifting height, that is often where the Roto's range only begins. **Vertical vs. horizontal**: A rigid loader quickly loses lifting capacity at large horizontal reach. A Roto compensates for this better thanks to its massive counterweight and wide stabiliser base. ## The 3-in-1 Solution: Attachments Make the Difference Versatility is the strongest argument for renting from Luibl Rental. Both machine types can be transformed using quick-change systems: - Pallet forks: The standard for both types. - Winches & load hooks: Turn the telehandler into a mobile crane. With the Roto in particular, this often saves on renting an expensive mobile crane. - Work baskets: Equipped with a radio remote control, the Roto becomes an aerial work platform. The operator can control the basket directly from within it — maximum efficiency for facade work. - Vacuum lifters: Ideal for glass installation combined with the precise control of a Roto. ## Cost-Efficiency Calculation: Rental Cost vs. Benefit A Roto has a higher daily rate than a rigid telehandler. Why does renting from Luibl Rental still often pay off? 1. Time savings: By eliminating manoeuvring time, a Roto often completes tasks in half the time. 2. Labour costs: One machine replaces three. You need fewer operators and less parking space. 3. Avoiding downtime: The all-round capability means the machine is used all day long (forklift in the morning, crane in the afternoon). ## Safety and Legal Requirements Safety comes first at Luibl Rental. Strict rules apply to both machine types: - Operator certificate: In Switzerland, [training](https://www.luibl.ch/schulungen/) under VUV Art. 8 (Level 1 rigid, Level 2 rotating) is mandatory for operating a telehandler. - Inspection per VUV: Every machine from Luibl Rental leaves the depot in Passau only with a current inspection seal and maintenance log. - Safety systems: Modern load moment limiters (LMB) prevent the machine from tipping over on both types through automatic shutdown in the event of overload.

Another Luibl location

The Luibl Rental Group has acquired another logistics location near Kassel in the town of Volkmarsen. **The aim is to increase the availability of rental machines in central and northern Germany.** This means that large construction sites can be served even more efficiently in future and **transport routes are shortened for re-hire partners** who rent specialist and large equipment from Luibl. The company strategy is explicitly not to create regional competition for small and medium-sized rental companies, but to expand the **partnership-based cooperation with re-hire partners**. This allows them to serve their regional customers even better without having to purchase every piece of specialist equipment themselves. In addition, the logistics routes for handling large-scale projects for key-account customers in northern Germany are shortened. This location in the centre of Germany particularly helps to serve customers and re-hire partners in the greater areas of **Kassel, Göttingen, Hannover, Paderborn, Bielefeld, Dortmund, Münster, Marburg, Frankfurt am Main and Erfurt**, but transport routes are also reduced for projects in the north, for example in **Bremen and Hamburg**. The acquired site was already operated as a construction machinery rental business in the past and is built up with two warehouses including office wings and workshops. For optimal customer service, there is also a washing area on the site. The new logistics hub theoretically offers space for up to 600 machines. With this step, Luibl Rental consolidates its rising position on the German rental market. Investments were recently made in **Leipzig** and at the **A6/A7 motorway junction in Crailsheim/Feuchtwangen in Baden-Württemberg**. The additional HUB underlines the company's long-term growth concept – with a clear focus on quality, regional availability for large customers, and its position as a powerful partner for other rental companies.

Added: 32m PB Scissor Lifts for Luibl

Bavarian deal: Passau and Oberbechingen. Several 32 m PB high-rack aerial work platforms for Luibl. The Bavarian specialty equipment rental company recently purchased a large number of HAB high-rack scissor lifts from Kronau in Baden-Württemberg. Now Luibl is following up directly with 32 m high-rack aerial work platforms of the PB S320-14ES type from Oberbechingen/Bachhagel in Bavarian Swabia. „The central lubrication system and the recently revised PB digiConnect convinced Luibl,“ says PB regional sales manager Kristijan Ivankovic proudly. And these are not the first PB platforms of this calibre for Luibl: back in 2021, Ivankovic and Luibl owner Karl Bauer already agreed on several 32 m high-rack platforms of the PB S320-14ES 4×4 type. These were delivered from Q4 2021 to Q2 2022. The scissor lifts had already been in use on high-rack projects in Austria and the Czech Republic, where they successfully proved their class. The list of strong features of the 32 m PB S320-14ES 4×4 machines reads impressively: - 4-wheel drive - 750 kg load capacity - spacious platform of up to 8.40 m Together with the PB design team, a reduction of the required transport height to under 3.20 m was also achieved. Another decisive factor in choosing PB again was the Europe-wide after-sales support in combination with the in-house-developed telematics system PB digiConnect. This allows the majority of faults to be diagnosed remotely without any problems. „So far we have received great support in after-sales,“ says Karl Bauer, describing his experience to date after the first deployments. In addition to renting classic aerial work platforms, forklifts and telehandlers, Luibl Rental & Sales has focused on the Europe-wide rental of specialty equipment. Well over 100 as-new large and specialty machines are now available for rent. From 39 m Magni telehandlers, to the new 35 m Manitou Roto telehandler, to 57 m Big Booms from Genie, everything today's large-scale projects require is available. For large scissor lifts, customers can choose from top machines from PB, HAB, Holland Lift and Magni with working heights of 22 m, 26 m, 28 m, 32 m, 33 m and 34 metres.

Heavyweight: 18-Tonne Kalmar for Luibl

We are expanding our rental fleet with the 18-tonne heavy-duty forklift from Kalmar. The machine is equipped with a Stage V engine and non-marking tyres. Heavyweight: we are also stepping up in the forklift segment with an 18-tonne heavy-duty forklift from Kalmar. The Kalmar DCG 180-6T stands out for its high load capacity of 18,000 kg at a 600 mm load centre, as well as for its very compact wheelbase of 3,250 mm. Thanks to this short wheelbase, the 18-tonne forklift is even more manoeuvrable than the 12-tonne Kalmar DCG 120-12. These compact dimensions make the Kalmar DCG 180-6T the ideal helper for industrial relocations and machine moves within industrial facilities. For these special assignments, rental customers can make full use of the 18-tonne load capacity, together with non-marking Trelleborg SE tyres. The further advantages that the Kalmar forklift offers as a rental machine become especially apparent in such complex rental deployments. Also worth highlighting are the excellent visibility from the EGO cab, which has no A-pillar and features an integrated multifunction console. The heavy-duty forklift is also equipped with a 160 kW Stage V Volvo engine including a particulate filter – high-end quality available to rent. Further highlights of the rental forklift include fork positioning with side shift, as well as the 4.50 m triplex mast, which allows for a compact overall height of just 3.13 m. Another special feature is the Terminal-West quick-change system for easily swapping the forklift forks. Luibl has forks in 2.40 m and 2.60 m lengths, which are perfectly suited for handling sea containers. The heavy-duty forklift can be delivered across Europe using our own special vehicles, guaranteeing fast and safe delivery.

Mega Deal: 80 Manitou Machines for Luibl

A major purchase by Luibl from the French manufacturer, including the Manitou flagship MRT 3570 35m / 7-tonne roto telehandler. Rental company Luibl Rental & Sales has bought heavily for 2022 from [Manitou](https://www.luibl.ch/manitou/), expanding its rental fleet by 80 Manitou machines. With this multi-million CHF investment, Luibl aims to offer an even broader rental range and provide customers with modern construction machinery and telehandlers from a leading manufacturer. The order, already placed in summer, covers nearly the entire aerial work platform range, a batch of modern rigid telehandlers from the MT series including new models, and finally the new futuristic MRT telehandler models. In the aerial work platform segment, the order comprises lifts between 12m and 28m. It includes electric articulated boom lifts from 12m to 20m, including the new all-terrain battery-powered articulated boom lift 200 ATJ E. For industrial applications, further electric articulated models 120 AETJ-C 3D, 150 AETJ-C 3D and 170 AETJ-L 3D have been acquired, offering high comfort to rental customers thanks to the 3D basket arm. In addition, diesel-powered articulated boom lifts from 16m to 20m were ordered in the models 160 ATJ, 160 ATJ+ with 408kg lifting capacity, 180 ATJ and 200 ATJ. The diesel articulated boom lifts are perfectly suited to rentals where the strengths of Manitou's articulated lifts matter most. These include all-wheel steering and continuous rotation, which set these lifts apart from those of other manufacturers. The modern Kubota Stage V engine underlines both companies' commitment to sustainable machine technology. The order also includes the 220TJ+ and 280TJ telescopic boom lifts, which in turn stand out for all-wheel steering and high lifting capacity. Some of the machines were ordered with low-marking tyres. To meet the highest quality standards in the rigid rental telehandler segment, Luibl has invested in numerous Manitou telehandlers. Here, Luibl is expanding its rental range with the following machines: the compact telehandlers with 2 and 2.5 tonne lifting capacity MT 420 and MT 625, the new innovative model MT 930 with 3 tonne lifting capacity, and the classics Manitou MT 1440 and MT 1840 with 4 tonne lifting capacity. Luibl owner Karl Bauer, together with Key Account Manager Simon Rath, inspected the newly developed Manitou telehandler MT 930 at the Platformers' Days and was impressed by the compact dimensions and the respectable performance figures of the telehandler. Otherwise, Luibl CEO Karl Bauer values the high reliability and low downtime of Manitou telehandlers. Luibl also invested heavily in roto telehandlers, to complement the packages from competitor Magni already integrated into the fleet. Customers should be free to choose which innovative construction machines they want to use for their projects when making an enquiry. The expansion in the roto telehandler segment covers almost all new Manitou models: the Manitou MRT 1845 Vision with 18m lift height and 4.5 tonne lifting capacity, as successor to the MRT 1840 easy, the new Vision+ models MRT 2260, MRT 2660 and MRT 3060, now with 6 tonnes instead of 5 tonnes lifting capacity and 22m, 26m and 30m lift height respectively. Finally, as the centrepiece, the new largest Manitou telehandler, the MRT 3570 Vision Plus with max. 35m lift height and 7 tonne lifting capacity, was acquired. This puts the new models on par with competitor Merlo at 35m lift height. The only model still missing is the heavy-duty roto MRT 2570. Here, Luibl Rental & Sales recently invested in several Magni RTH 7.26 units instead. The new arrivals will be available with a full range of accessories such as buckets, load hooks, long load hooks, winches for use as a crane, lattice mast winches, extendable work baskets and much more. New to the rental fleet, Luibl will now be able to offer a work basket that extends to 6m for special applications. This gives the operator a working area as wide as a scissor lift, combined with the reach of a telehandler. All telehandlers are also fitted as standard with trailer coupling pins and radio remote control for operating the telehandler's lifting functions and turntable rotation, for maximum ease of use in rental operation. The expansion of Luibl's state-of-the-art rental fleet is thus being driven further forward. According to Karl Bauer, Luibl operates the most modern specialist equipment fleet in Europe, with dozens of large machines, most of which are only 1-2 years old. In addition to numerous other telehandlers from the brands Manitou, Merlo and Magni up to 39 metres lift height, Luibl also offers a wide range of aerial work platforms and special forklifts. End customers and sub-rental partners get access to a wide variety of exceptional machines at Luibl, such as 48m and 57m telescopic boom lifts Genie SX-150 and Genie SX-180, diesel scissor lifts up to 34m from Holland Lift and JLG Liftlux, or mast-climbing scissor lifts from 22m to 33m from the brands PB and HAB. With its own truck and low-loader fleet, Luibl guarantees Europe-wide delivery of its specialist equipment. This segment was also invested in for 2022. You can read about further special new arrivals to the Luibl rental fleet in the coming weeks on Vertikal.net and in our news section.

3x 57m Telescopic Boom Lifts and More Genie Heavy-Duty Equipment for Luibl

Luibl Rental & Sales has expanded its heavy-duty equipment fleet with additional aerial work platforms from Genie. The standout units of this order are three further 57m telescopic boom lifts, the Genie SX-180, joining the Luibl fleet. To increase the range and availability in the specialty equipment segment, an SX-150 with 48 metres of working height and a ZX-135 with 43 metres of working height have also been ordered. This means Luibl now offers numerous aerial work platforms from leading brands with a working height of 40 metres or more for rent. These machines are not only deployed in Bavaria or neighbouring Austria, but are also available to rental customers and rental partners for projects across Europe. Special requirements, such as a particulate filter, can also be met thanks to the use of Stage V engines in the rental fleet. The order also included several telescopic boom lifts from the new XC heavy-duty series. The Genie S-45XC, Genie S-65XC and Genie S-85XC models were ordered to meet growing demand in the rental business. Expansion of the specialist-equipment fleet: scissor lifts from 28 to 32 metres

Half a dozen tall scissors: Luibl Rental & Sales from the three-rivers city of Passau has purchased a larger scissor-lift package from the German manufacturer HAB. It comprises a total of six high-bay and rough-terrain scissor lifts with working heights between 28 and 32 metres. To leave no marks in industrial buildings and large plants, all machines are equipped with non-marking tyres. "The 28- and 32-metre high-bay scissor lifts are equipped with four-wheel drive and four-wheel steering for maximum manoeuvrability in narrow high-bay warehouses," explains Andreas Becker, sales manager at HAB Arbeitsbühnen. Luibl ordered the rough-terrain 28-metre scissor lifts both with electric drive and four-wheel steering and in the diesel version with a modern Stage V Hatz engine. Delivery will take place next year. The first two delivered units of the package – two 28-metre electric high-bay scissor lifts – have already arrived. Luibl Rental & Sales was founded in 2013 by Karl Bauer Junior and Senior together. The company has since grown strongly and, in addition to hundreds of conventional work-platform types, operates a large fleet of specialist equipment with scissor lifts in electric and diesel versions up to 34 metres working height, telescopic boom lifts up to 57 metres, rotating telehandlers up to 35 metres and forklifts up to 16 tonnes. To be able to cope with further growth, the company was able – "fortunately", as it says – to acquire the neighbouring haulage site in Passau. From there, the rental machines are delivered across Europe using the company's own low-loader fleet.

Magni Telehandler Package for Luibl

Luibl Rental & Sales, headquartered in Passau, has expanded its roto telehandler fleet with six additional Magni telehandlers ranging from 21m to 30m. The order placed with the Italian telehandler manufacturer includes the models Magni RTH 5.21 S, RTH 6.25 SH, RTH 7.26 SH and RTH 6.30 SH. The machines offer lifting heights between 21m and 30m, a horizontal outreach of up to 26 metres and lifting capacities from 5 to 7 tonnes. All ordered Magni telehandlers are equipped with modern Stage V engines and therefore feature a built-in particulate filter. This is especially important for rental operations in Switzerland, in order to meet the emission requirements for rental equipment there — without a particulate filter, no machines may be rented out in Switzerland, whether aerial work platform, forklift or telehandler. In addition, all telehandlers are pre-equipped for the installation of the Magni Twin-Energy Station. With the help of the Twin-Energy Station, all lifting functions can be carried out electrically, allowing the machines to operate with zero emissions as "electric telehandlers". Of course, it is possible to rent the telehandlers with all attachments and to use them, for example, with a winch in crane mode or with a work basket that extends up to 4m as an aerial work platform with a high load capacity. The first telehandler from the Magni package was already delivered directly to a customer at the end of last year who had special requirements: the rental customer wanted to rent a rotating telehandler with white tyres and a 5000kg lifting capacity from Luibl, with which he could additionally carry out all lifting movements electrically. The choice fell on a Magni RTH 5.21S with Twin-Energy Pack to handle his lifting tasks. The expansion of the rental fleet with the modern Magni telehandlers helps Luibl Rental meet customers' demands for new, high-quality rental equipment. In addition to numerous other Magni telehandlers up to 35 metres lifting height, Luibl also carries roto telehandlers from competitors Manitou and Merlo in its range. Customers therefore have a free choice of which top brand of roto telehandler they wish to rent. Furthermore, Luibl Rental offers a wide range of special equipment for end customers and re-rental partners, whether a 48m or 57m telescopic boom lift, diesel scissor lifts up to 34m, or narrow-aisle scissor lifts with 28m and 33m working heights. With Luibl, business partners always have a reliable supplier at their side, delivering high-quality machines at attractive prices. With its own low-loader fleet, Europe-wide delivery of the special equipment is guaranteed.

21 m Magni telehandler with Stage V engine and electric drive

The Magni telehandler is Stage V compliant and is also available as an emission-free solution with the Twin Energy Station. Thanks to the large touchscreen, our Magni telehandlers for hire are extremely popular with rental customers. This Magni telehandler for hire meets the modern Stage V emissions standard with a 4-cylinder engine from Deutz. A particulate filter is fitted in the rental unit for emission-free work indoors and in industrial halls. As an additional feature with the Magni Twin Energy system, the telehandler can also be operated with zero emissions. The lifting functions can then be carried out fully electrically without emitting any environmentally harmful emissions. With a maximum load capacity of 5,000 kg, a maximum lifting height of almost 21 metres and an outreach of over 17 m, combined with numerous attachments, users benefit from a robust telescopic machine with a large working range. With the help of a huge range of attachment tools, the Roto telehandler can be used for lifting tasks, loading work and crane work with a hook or in winch operation. With the work basket attachment, the telehandler also serves as a reliable work platform for uneven terrain. Luibl's rental fleet includes Roto telehandlers up to 35 m working height from Manitou, Merlo and Magni. ## Optional Twin Energy system for zero-emission operation The Twin Energy system is the perfect solution for operating the rental telehandler emission-free in enclosed areas such as industrial halls or production facilities. The innovative system is supplied with mains power via an external power source (380 V / 32 A), making this telehandler suitable for use in all industrial buildings. When the telehandler is fitted with this system, the Roto can carry out its lifting functions fully electrically, making it the ideal helper for demanding lifting tasks indoors. The Twin Energy system opens up new applications that require an emission-free solution. Combined with the Twin Energy Station and radio remote control, precise, emission-free work is possible as the telehandler's machine movements are carried out electrically, with an optimal view of the telehandler thanks to operation from outside via the remote control. The remote control can be hired for a small surcharge and makes the work considerably easier. Enquire now and secure an attractive offer for this Roto telehandler and other telescopic machines.

In a variety of work platform types with a height of up to 58 m, the flexibility of the work platforms comes into play for requirements of all kinds. Among the many lifting platforms are, for example, the popular scissor lifts, which are regularly used for work in the 6 m–34 m range. They are particularly valued in automotive plants or in façade and tunnel construction due to their versatile usage options. Telescopic boom lifts with a height of 16 m–58 m become versatile helpers in shell construction or for large-scale projects thanks to their off-road capability. If customers seek more flexibility in their project, telehandlers are the all-rounders for making projects of any scale succeed. Through flexible use, Roto, rigid or rough-terrain telehandlers master even demanding tasks with convincing load capacity and lifting height. Among the Roto telehandlers you will find rotating telehandlers from the renowned brands Manitou, Magni, Merlo and Genie, and their counterparts, the rigid telehandlers, guarantee high load capacity and a lifting height of up to 18 m. For heavy loads in steel, concrete or hall construction, heavy-duty telehandlers with a load capacity of up to 13 t are suitable. Between work platforms and telehandlers, Luibl Rental & Sales offers a selection of various forklifts with electric or diesel drives that fulfil their purpose in industry or off-road. These are offered in the online rental catalogue with different drive types, tyres and sizes. For use on a construction site, in a warehouse or in factory halls, customers can fall back on the company's forklifts. Indoor work, in turn, can be carried out with the help of an emission-free and low-noise electric or gas forklift. To overcome obstacles in plant construction or the event sector and to work safely on uneven ground, the rough-terrain forklifts are a good choice: they impress with their powerful diesel drive and high ground clearance. ## National & Europe-wide delivery offering – for on-schedule and safe work at height As an international rental service, Luibl Rental & Sales also offers machines on site.
