Mega Deal: 80 Manitou Machines for Luibl

A major purchase by Luibl from the French manufacturer, including the Manitou flagship MRT 3570 35m / 7-tonne roto telehandler. Rental company Luibl Rental & Sales has bought heavily for 2022 from Manitou, expanding its rental fleet by 80 Manitou machines. With this multi-million CHF investment, Luibl aims to offer an even broader rental range and provide customers with modern construction machinery and telehandlers from a leading manufacturer.

The order, already placed in summer, covers nearly the entire aerial work platform range, a batch of modern rigid telehandlers from the MT series including new models, and finally the new futuristic MRT telehandler models. In the aerial work platform segment, the order comprises lifts between 12m and 28m. It includes electric articulated boom lifts from 12m to 20m, including the new all-terrain battery-powered articulated boom lift 200 ATJ E. For industrial applications, further electric articulated models 120 AETJ-C 3D, 150 AETJ-C 3D and 170 AETJ-L 3D have been acquired, offering high comfort to rental customers thanks to the 3D basket arm. In addition, diesel-powered articulated boom lifts from 16m to 20m were ordered in the models 160 ATJ, 160 ATJ+ with 408kg lifting capacity, 180 ATJ and 200 ATJ. The diesel articulated boom lifts are perfectly suited to rentals where the strengths of Manitou's articulated lifts matter most. These include all-wheel steering and continuous rotation, which set these lifts apart from those of other manufacturers. The modern Kubota Stage V engine underlines both companies' commitment to sustainable machine technology. The order also includes the 220TJ+ and 280TJ telescopic boom lifts, which in turn stand out for all-wheel steering and high lifting capacity. Some of the machines were ordered with low-marking tyres. To meet the highest quality standards in the rigid rental telehandler segment, Luibl has invested in numerous Manitou telehandlers. Here, Luibl is expanding its rental range with the following machines: the compact telehandlers with 2 and 2.5 tonne lifting capacity MT 420 and MT 625, the new innovative model MT 930 with 3 tonne lifting capacity, and the classics Manitou MT 1440 and MT 1840 with 4 tonne lifting capacity. Luibl owner Karl Bauer, together with Key Account Manager Simon Rath, inspected the newly developed Manitou telehandler MT 930 at the Platformers' Days and was impressed by the compact dimensions and the respectable performance figures of the telehandler. Otherwise, Luibl CEO Karl Bauer values the high reliability and low downtime of Manitou telehandlers.

Luibl also invested heavily in roto telehandlers, to complement the packages from competitor Magni already integrated into the fleet. Customers should be free to choose which innovative construction machines they want to use for their projects when making an enquiry. The expansion in the roto telehandler segment covers almost all new Manitou models: the Manitou MRT 1845 Vision with 18m lift height and 4.5 tonne lifting capacity, as successor to the MRT 1840 easy, the new Vision+ models MRT 2260, MRT 2660 and MRT 3060, now with 6 tonnes instead of 5 tonnes lifting capacity and 22m, 26m and 30m lift height respectively. Finally, as the centrepiece, the new largest Manitou telehandler, the MRT 3570 Vision Plus with max. 35m lift height and 7 tonne lifting capacity, was acquired. This puts the new models on par with competitor Merlo at 35m lift height. The only model still missing is the heavy-duty roto MRT 2570. Here, Luibl Rental & Sales recently invested in several Magni RTH 7.26 units instead. The new arrivals will be available with a full range of accessories such as buckets, load hooks, long load hooks, winches for use as a crane, lattice mast winches, extendable work baskets and much more. New to the rental fleet, Luibl will now be able to offer a work basket that extends to 6m for special applications. This gives the operator a working area as wide as a scissor lift, combined with the reach of a telehandler. All telehandlers are also fitted as standard with trailer coupling pins and radio remote control for operating the telehandler's lifting functions and turntable rotation, for maximum ease of use in rental operation.

The expansion of Luibl's state-of-the-art rental fleet is thus being driven further forward. According to Karl Bauer, Luibl operates the most modern specialist equipment fleet in Europe, with dozens of large machines, most of which are only 1-2 years old. In addition to numerous other telehandlers from the brands Manitou, Merlo and Magni up to 39 metres lift height, Luibl also offers a wide range of aerial work platforms and special forklifts. End customers and sub-rental partners get access to a wide variety of exceptional machines at Luibl, such as 48m and 57m telescopic boom lifts Genie SX-150 and Genie SX-180, diesel scissor lifts up to 34m from Holland Lift and JLG Liftlux, or mast-climbing scissor lifts from 22m to 33m from the brands PB and HAB. With its own truck and low-loader fleet, Luibl guarantees Europe-wide delivery of its specialist equipment. This segment was also invested in for 2022.
